Uro Oncosurgeon

Expertise. Precision. Compassionate Cancer Care.

Uro-oncology, also known as genito-urinary oncology, is a highly specialized branch of urology focused on diagnosing and treating cancers of the urinary system and male reproductive organs. These include prostate cancer, kidney cancer, adrenal tumors, bladder cancer, testicular cancer, and penile cancer. A Uro-Oncosurgeon is a urologist trained specifically to manage these cancers using advanced surgical and minimally invasive techniques.

At Dr. Sathe’s Uro-Stone Urology Clinic, Dr. Saket Sathe specializes in the surgical management of urologic cancers with a focus on organ preservation, oncologic safety, and faster recovery. Using modern laparoscopic and robotic approaches, he provides world-class care to patients with cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidneys, and other urological organs.

Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer primarily affects older adults and is often diagnosed early, when it is most treatable. Common symptoms include blood in the urine (hematuria) and frequent urination. However, this cancer tends to recur, making regular follow-ups crucial. Treatment may involve surgery, intravesical therapy, chemotherapy, and in some cases, robotic bladder reconstruction (RCIC) to restore urinary function.

Prostate Cancer

The prostate gland produces seminal fluid that nourishes sperm. Prostate cancer can develop silently, with few or no symptoms initially. Some cases are slow-growing and can be managed with active surveillance, while others require surgery, hormone therapy, radiation, or chemotherapy. Dr. Sathe performs robotic radical prostatectomy — a minimally invasive technique ensuring excellent cancer control, faster recovery, and preservation of continence and sexual function.

Kidney Cancer

Kidney cancer originates in the kidneys, which are located behind the abdominal organs on either side of the spine. The most common type is renal cell carcinoma. Early-stage kidney cancers can often be treated effectively with laparoscopic or robotic partial nephrectomy, where only the cancerous part is removed while preserving healthy kidney tissue. This organ-sparing approach ensures long-term kidney function with excellent oncological outcomes.

Dr. Saket Sathe combines cutting-edge technology, surgical expertise, and compassionate care to deliver the best possible results in urologic cancer treatment. His focus remains on precision, safety, and quality of life for every patient.
